West County Landscapes Ltd is well established in West Yorkshire and each fortnight we regularly maintain over 200 domestic and commercial gardens in Leeds (Morley, Colton, Woodlesford, Swillington, Garforth, Cross Gates, Rothwell, Beeston), Wakefield (Walton, Sandal, Outwood, Stanley, Wrenthorpe, Ossett, Horbury, Crofton, Middlestown), Dewsbury, Huddersfield and the surrounding areas.
In West Yorkshire we usually cut the grass from late February to mid-late November. The grass growing season can sometimes vary between Leeds and Wakefield because the Wakefield area is further south and often warmer for longer. However, we can only cut the grass if the ground is not saturated or frosty during autumn and early spring.
I have a good knowledge of plants and can help to plan your garden with a scheme that provides colour all year round. We arrange the plants in such a way to provide a wide range of flowers, scent and leaf variety. Two of my favourite scented plants are the winter flowering shrub called Daphne and the summer flowering Jasmine.
When meeting new customers and their gardens for the first time, I have a look around with them to find out what ideas they have for their garden, including likes and dislikes, thoughts about plants and weeds e.g. yellow flowering poppy, perennial violas and Creeping Jenny to help us achieve a plan.
The next step is to find out how often you would like the garden doing (one-off, weekly, bi-weekly, fortnightly, 3 weekly or monthly) and then agree what you would like doing e.g. grass cutting, borders weeding and hoeing, hedges trimming and shaping or a full garden maintenance programme.
Once we have discussed your garden requirements we will agree a price that is suitable to meet your needs. From my 35 years of experience I will price the garden based on size, scope, materials and equipment required but it’s important to point out that our price is always negotiable and we will endeavour to work with you to reach a price that is acceptable to you.
